We utilize this information for internal research on our users' demographics, interests, and behavior. This helps us to better understand, protect, and improve our services for you. This data is compiled and analyzed in an aggregated form. The information we collect may include the website you visited before coming to our Platform (regardless of whether it was on our Platform), the website you navigate to after leaving our Platform (again, regardless of whether it's on our Platform), your computer browser information, and your IP address.

We may collect personal data from you (such as your email address, shipping address, name, phone number, credit card/debit card details and other payment method information, or potentially medical or health-related information if relevant to our services) when you create an account, make a transaction, or participate in any event or promotion. If you enroll in our loyalty and membership program, such as Payism Rewards, VIP, or similar programs offered by Payism, we will collect and store your personal data, including your name, contact number, email address, mailing address, date of birth, gender, postal code, lifestyle information, demographic, and work details. This information may be provided directly by you to Payism or to a third-party business partner that operates online/offline establishments or platforms where you can earn and redeem loyalty points for purchasing goods and services. We will also collect information about your transactions on the Payism platform and these third-party partner platforms. When a third-party business partner collects your personal data directly from you, their privacy policies will govern that data. Additionally, we collect your UPI ID if you choose to use our Payism UPI platform for payments. Payism is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of the privacy policies of these third-party business partners, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before disclosing any information.   

Payism has integrated certain third-party business partners onto the Platform who specialize in areas such as travel ticket bookings, online movie ticket reservations, online bill payments, and more (referred to as "Partner Services"). If you utilize the services of these Partner Services, you will be redirected to their respective websites/applications. Your access to these Partner Services' websites/applications will be based on your Payism login credentials after we obtain your permission to share your data. Payism is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of the privacy policies of these Partner Services, and we advise you to carefully read their privacy policies before providing any information.

Use of Demographic / Profile Data / Your Information

We use your personal data to process and fulfill orders, deliver services, handle payments, and communicate with you regarding your orders, services, and promotional offers. When we use your personal data for marketing purposes, we will always provide you with the option to opt out of such communications. We use your personal data to assist sellers and business partners in managing and fulfilling orders, improving your customer experience, resolving disputes, troubleshooting issues, helping ensure a safe service environment, processing payments, understanding consumer interest in our services, informing you about online and offline offers, services, and updates, customizing and enhancing your experience, reporting to regulatory bodies where required, detecting and protecting against errors, fraud, and other illegal activities, enforcing our terms and conditions, and for other purposes described to you when we collect the information.

With your consent, we may access your SMS messages, instant messages, contacts list, location data, camera, photo gallery, and device information. We may also ask you to provide your PAN, credit information report (from credit agencies), GST Number, government-issued ID cards/numbers, and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) details to: (i) verify your eligibility for certain services like insurance, credit, and payment products; (ii) issue GST invoices for services purchased for your business needs; (iii) improve your experience on the Platform and provide you with access to services offered by us, sellers, affiliates, or lending partners. Please note that your access to these services may be affected if you do not provide your consent.

To continuously improve our service offerings, we and our affiliates collect and analyze demographic and profile data about our users' activity on our Platform. We use your IP address to diagnose server issues and administer our Platform. Your IP address also helps us identify you and gather general demographic information.

Occasionally, we may ask you to participate in optional surveys conducted by us or a third-party market research agency. These surveys may request personal data, contact information, date of birth, demographic information (such as postal code, age, or income level), attributes like your interests, household or lifestyle information, your purchasing behavior or history, preferences, and other information you choose to provide. Some surveys may involve collecting voice data or video recordings; your participation in these is entirely voluntary. For services that require consultation with qualified professionals under applicable laws, we facilitate such interactions on our Platform. By using these services, you acknowledge and agree that Payism is connecting you with relevant professionals based on the information you provide. You understand that you will be directed to these services as needed.

We may disclose your personal data to third parties, such as sellers and business partners. This disclosure may be necessary to provide you with access to our services; to fulfill your requests; to enhance your experience; to provide feedback on services; to process payments from you; to comply with our legal obligations; to conduct market research or surveys; to enforce our Terms of Use; to facilitate our marketing and advertising activities; to analyze data; for customer support; and to prevent, detect, mitigate, and investigate fraudulent or illegal activities related to our services. Once your information is in our possession, we follow our security guidelines to protect it against unauthorized access. Choice/Opt-Out

We provide all users with the option to opt out of receiving non-essential (promotional, marketing-related) communications after you create an account with us. If you no longer wish to receive promotional communications from Payism, please log in to the Notification Preferences page on our Platform to unsubscribe or opt out.

Advertisements on Platform

We may use third-party advertising companies to display advertisements when you visit our Platform. These companies may use information about your visits to this and other websites (excluding your name, address, email address, or telephone number) to ¹ provide you with relevant advertisements about goods and services that may interest you. You have the option to opt out of personalized advertising tracking through the “Opt out of Ads Personalization” settings in your device’s settings application. Once you enable this feature, Payism will no longer have access to your GAID.
